Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

1 Ham Steak, cut into bite-sized pieces (about 1 lb)
6-8 red potatoes, sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. flour
2 cups milk
1 1/2 shredded cheese

1. Layer potatoes, onion, and ham in slow cooker.
2. Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour. Gradually add milk. Stir and cook until smooth and thick. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted. Pour over ham-potato mixture, add salt and pepper to taste and stir lightly.
3. Cover. Cook on High 3-4 hours.
